K01 Intellectual Capital, since 2002 developing virtual and face-to-face training solutions, in partnership with Master Eyes Technology, which offers customized multimedia solutions, software, hardware and web applications to customers worldwide, announcing the release of the version 0.92 of their Online Learning Platform: Treinamento.pro.br.
The platform will initially serve fluent users in English and/or Portuguese, and consists of an Open edX LMS, a Learning Management System that is a result of a joint initiative between MIT and Harvard University, and composed of dozens of global leading institutions, xConsortium. edX is present in different online interactive courses and MOOCs from the best universities and institutions in the world.
This is the first ever initiative in Brazil to provide the education and training by using a world-class modern learning management system – Open edX, the choice of all top Universities.
MOOC is the acronym for Massive Open Online Courses, and its roots are the movement of open educational resources and connectivism, and its goal is to increase the reach of the courses and classes offered. Some MOOCs you may have visited: Coursera and Udacity.
At the Treinamento.pro.br platform, educational institutions, public or private organizations, educators and technologists will be able to share their innovative educational classes and solutions.
LMS: the visible part for users of published courses. For members of a course team, you can also manage Forums and Wikis, enroll and manage users, manage the schedule. It is also possible to generate reports from each class of each course, for analysis and adjustments.
Studio: area of creation of courses or classes made available, visible to generators and publishers of content. You access Studio directly through the web browser without the need for any additional program or plugin, and build the course structure, including content; videos; evaluation models; and evaluation resources such as quizzes, open questions and filling gaps, among others.
This release version is available for your evaluation, and comments are welcome. There are nine courses announced, some with launch already planned for the month of May 2018.
